Alan delivers training in the unit Introduction to Scaffolding and Working Platforms (VU20960) for Certificate II in Building and Construction Pre-apprenticeship (22216VIC). Available to present this unit in schools and other education settings. Current Victorian Working with Children Check and fully Covid vaccinated.
Alan also works with businesses to help with compliance obligations, such as consultation (minuted safety meetings), subcontractor obligations, including Safe Work Method Statements to the requirements of the Code for the Tendering and Performance of Building Work 2016 (the Building Code), safety walk-throughs, plant risk assessments, etc. as well as specific issues so far as they fall within his field of experience and expertise.
Alan has a Diploma of OH&S (Master Builders Association of Victoria) and draws on his years of practical experience in owning and working in a scaffold hire business for clients with domestic and commercial construction projects.
